About Us
A Canadian consultancy built on licensed representation
Founded in Calgary in 2012 and since expanded to Vancouver, with a team in Shanghai, we advise clients worldwide on moving to North America, the Caribbean, South America, Europe, and Oceania.
Our Story
From Calgary, building pathways around the world
Our story began in Calgary, Alberta in 2012. The team was small, and the focus was single-minded: Canadian immigration, one carefully prepared file at a time.
As our clients' ambitions broadened, so did our practice. We opened a second office in Vancouver, added study permits, work permits, and business and investment routes, and carried our services further into the United States, Mexico, Europe, Oceania, the Caribbean, and South America.
Our work is not confined to Canada. A team in Shanghai supports clients across Asia, handles translation and document coordination, and keeps every case moving across time zones.
Today the team brings together Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants and licensed U.S. attorneys. Every file is reviewed and signed by a licensed professional, and when a pathway is not realistic for you, we say so plainly.

We began in Calgary with Canadian immigration files, and insisted from the very first application that a licensed consultant review every case personally.

Our Team
The people who handle your file
Immigration regulators restrict what we may publish about individual representatives, so we present our team by role. You always know who is responsible for each stage of your case.
Canadian consultant team
Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants assess eligibility, design the pathway, and sign and submit your application.
U.S. attorney team
Licensed attorneys handle U.S. visa and immigration petitions, and can represent you if a case reaches the immigration courts.
Document review team
They build your document checklist, coordinate translation and notarisation, and check every form for completeness before submission.
Client support team
Bilingual case coordinators keep you updated at each stage, from the first assessment through to arrival.

Compliance
What we publish, and what we do not
Immigration regulators limit what a consultancy may disclose about its individual representatives. That is why you will not find names, certificate photographs, or registration numbers of our consultants on this website.
- Our Canadian files are signed by Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) designated by the Government of Canada.
- Our U.S. files are handled by attorneys licensed to practise immigration law in the United States.
- You may request our consultants' registration details during a consultation and verify them yourself in the CICC public register.
- Lightway Immigration Inc. is a private consultancy. We are not a government agency, and we never promise an approval outcome.
